Farm Notes:
Kariru Farm has been family operated farm since the 1960’s and is located on the rich volcanic soils found on the slopes of snowcapped mount Kenya. The cool and refreshing highland air and evenly distributed rainfall balances out the year-round equatorial sunlight allowing the berries to develop a vibrantly rich aroma giving you a full cup for your favorite morning cup of coffee. Also, the rich volcanic soils are deep, well drained and have a lot of organic material that are beneficial for coffee.
Processing Notes:
The cherry is hand sorted before submitting it for processing, removing coffee that is either not ripe, or too ripe, and can cause a defect in the cup. Small things like this make a huge difference in the resulting coffee.
